About Me

I am a 21-year old college student attending University of Montevallo. When I am not at school, I live in Montgomery, Alabama. I studied photography for four years, and learned to process film, develop pictures, handcolor black and white images, use alternative and historical processes, digitally alter images, and much more. I was an intern for Governor Bob Riley's photographer, and produced a private exhibition of my work during my senior year. Please see my resume section for a full description of past photographic experiences.

About my work

I love photographing people. Photographing a person is more than simply looking at their physical body - it is reaching into their soul, the essence of that person, and bringing out an attribute that not everyone can readily see. I try to capture a portrait that is more than a photograph, but an image that brings out a deeper, more passionate understanding of the subject. I also love photographing weddings and other events that mark milestones in people's lives. The days that are the most important in a person's life need to be documented accurately, and I try to capture them with as much emotion and personality as possible. I strive to give the viewer an inside look at what the day was really like, and let the picture tell the story.
